Michael Sarver Eliminated American Idol has one of its best top ten in the history of the show, and last night, Smokey Robinson was in attendance and watched many of the top ten turn in great performances of Motown songs.
Tonight, the results of viewer votes after last nights show were revealed. Early on, the crowd was shocked when Matt Giraud found out he was in the bottom three. Before long, Michael Sraver joined Giraud in the bottom three.
That left the rest of the top row safe. It was a row that included Chris Allen, Lil Rounds, and Adama Lambert. Lambert's performance of "Tracks of my Tears" was widely considered to be the best from last night.
After Smokey Robinson and Joss Stone sang a rousing duet, it was back to the results. Alison Iraheta was safe. Annop Desai was also safe. danny Gokey, who is the betting favorite to win this season, was safe. Megan Joy Corkrey was safe, and Scott MacIntyre was in the bottom three.
At the end of the night, MacIntyre was sent back to the couch and was safe. Sarver and Giraud were left, and in the end it was Sarver that said goodbye to American Idol.

Megan Joy should have gone home and if she weren't a pretty blonde girl she would have been out the door after her terrible performance this week.

I agree.
How could Matt have been in the final three. He's outstanding and his performance last night was one of the best 3. |

I agree her performance last night was terrible. But she's been really good up until now and she has a very unique voice that I really appreciate. It reminds me of Ella a little. I really like that sound and I'm glad she's got another week to prove that she can pull it off!

Wow, what a surprise, Susa - that attractiveness plays a part in entertainment. I had *no* idea.

i personally love megans personality. not to mention her amazing amazing voice. she is totally original. and beautiful. i don't think she should win american idol. but she deserves to still be in the running. and obviously america thinks so too.

I am still in shock that Megan even made the top 10. I hope she is gone next week. She has no business being in the top 10. If she were a brunette like me, out the door she would be!
