Las Vegas Sands Stock Starts Trading Week On A High

Las Vegas Sands Las Vegas Sands stock started the new year with a stock price of $16.62. After dropping over the last month and a half, Sands stock once again approached this year's starting price on Monday.
To begin the week, Sands stock rose 1.72%, closing the day at $16.52. The positive change of $.28 came as a relief after the stock had fell almost a full dollar a share right before the weekend.
The company did have some good news for investors looking to see growth. Sands announced that they have filed paperwork in Pennsylvania to add eighty table games to their Bethlehem casino.
Pennsylvania lawmakers recently legalized table games for casinos in the state. The lawmakers are counting on thousands of jobs to be created and millions of dollars in tax revenue to be added to the state budget.
Other gaming stocks had similar days on Monday to Sands. MGM Mirage was up .55%, at $10.55. Wynn Resorts continued its dominance on the market, adding $.77 to its stock price. Wynn stock closed at $63.02.
