Las Vegas Sands is one of many gaming stocks that has been sputtering along this week. That was before Friday. Sands and other gaming stocks finished the week strong, hoping to capitalize and carry the momentum into next week.

To close Friday, Sands stock rose by 4.02%. The stock was up $.69, and finished the week at $17.87. it was a week that never saw the stock go lower than $16.83, or higher than $17.41, until Friday.

Other stocks that surged on Friday include Monarch Casino & Resort and Melco Crown Entertainment. Monarch stock was up 5.04%, closing at $8.34. Melco Crown finished the week at $4.38, after rising 3.55% at week's end.

MGM Mirage is patiently waiting for their initial public offering in Asia. As for their stock in the US, MGM closed the day at $11.16, up 3.62% from the start of the day. MGM will soon join Wynn Resorts and LVS with listings on the London Stock Exchange.

The trading day was good to almost all gaming stocks Friday. In addition to the aforementioned companies, Pinnacle Entertainment and Boyd Gaming saw their stock increase also. Pinnacle closed at $8.54, and Boyd gaming ended at $8.16 a share.
