PlayStation3 This month has been like Christmas in June for gamers across the world as the E3 conference was being held in Los Angeles, California. The Los Angeles Convention Center has been filled with gamers looking to find out what is coming soon for their PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
On Tuesday, gamers rejoiced as Sony announced the arrival of a new Twisted Metal game. The new game will have the ability to accommodate sixteen players online. Two-four split screens and many other new features already have gamers dreaming of the possibilities.
"I can't wait to get my hands on Twisted Metal," said gamer Vance Brighton. "My friends are going to spend hours tearing that game up, and by the time we are done, hopefully PlayStation will have more new games ready for us."
Already announced this week was the arrival of the new Xbox console. Lighter and thinner than the previous model, the new Xbox clearly took a page out of Sony's playbook from the PlayStation3.
Sony also made news this week when they announced that they now will have 3-D combatibilities. PlayStation Plus was unveiled, and Portal 2 joined Twisted Metal as games that players will be waiting in line to get their hands on.
As for the 3D feature, Sony announced that Shaun White Skateboarding, Mortal Kombat, MotorStorm Apocalypse, Gran Turismo 5, The Sly Collection, NBA 2K11, Crysis 2, Tron Evolution, and Ghost Recon Future Soldier will all have 3D support.
